Real Madrid to Open Theme Park in UAE?

According to a report on Goal.com, Spanish powerhouses Real Madrid are all set to officially announce plans to open a theme park in the United Arab Emirates. The announcement is expected to be made at a press conference called at the Santiago Bernabeu, on Thursday.

Club president Florentino Perez will be there, as will several members of Madrid's first team squad. The park is part of a "Real Madrid Resort Island" project... one the club has been secretly working on for about six months now.

The Spaniards had also expressed their intention to build a theme park in Valdebebas - the club's training facilities, located to the northeast of the capital.

Meanwhile, it is understood that Perez has authorised funds to give the Santiago Bernabeu stadium a facelift. The result, we understand, will look similar to Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena.
