NFL News and Rumors: Ronde Barber Thinking About TV Career After Football, Will Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cornerback Do Better Than Twin Tiki Did On Today Show?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber announced his retirement earlier this week and now the former star is looking to the next stage of his career, which could end up being on television, something his twin brother did following his own career.

According to Pro Football Talk, Barber is looking to get into television, but he has yet to say what he will do or what network he will go to. Barber said it has been his plan for a number of years and is now figuring out his next move, which he may already know, but isn't giving any specifics. Barber said he has met with people over the past few years about it and that the news will come out soon enough.

Barber will follow in the footsteps of his brother Tiki, who spent time on NBC as an analyst for Sunday Night Football and also on the Today show, although it ended horribly for him. Tiki ended up not lasting on television and turned out to be a bit of a smug and not so great broadcaster and he also had a little thing happen where he left his wife who was pregnant for a young blonde intern at the show.

Hopefully Barber will have better luck.

"I'm not ready to say what I'm doing or where I'm going," Barber said. "But, yes, I'll be somewhere. Me and my manager have had a plan for a lot of years, met with guys in the offseason for the past three or four years. You've seen my mug on TV. I enjoy doing it. You'll know soon enough."
