Two teams looking to seal a playoff place in IPL 2013 will be on view when the Mumbai Indians host the Sunrisers Hyderabad Monday.
Mumbai Indians have the slightly better record with nine wins from 13 games, which sees them in second on 18 points. The Sunrisers Hyderabad have 16 points from 13 matches with eight wins and five losses.
Both teams are coming off the back of convincing wins, and will be keen to continue the momentum.
Glenn Maxwell, the IPL's million dollar man, finally made his debut for the Mumbai Indians against the Pune Warriors Saturday, and the Australian all-rounder was over the moon to have been given a chance.
"A lot better, now that we have won (laughs)," he told IPL's official website when asked about how he felt after playing his first game in the IPL. "I have been waiting a really long time.
"I have been training hard in the nets and in the gym. So, I feel it was well-deserved and I am glad I got a crack out there and it was fun."
Maxwell has been in India for quite a while now, having been part of the Australian Test side which were thumped by India 4-0. However, the Australian admitted his time in India has helped him adapt to the conditions a lot better.
"You get a leg up over everyone else by spending time here," he said. "I feel like I have had a lot of time for preparation, and I have played a lot here and trained a lot here. I feel these things are going to help me a lot in the future.
"There are a lot of tournaments in India throughout the year. So, you have got to adapt to playing here. It is a massive advantage to get used to the conditions over here."
Maxwell also said it has been an "amazing feeling" to share the dressing room with legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting.
"It is an amazing feeling to be around them," he said. "Guys like Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting, whom I have watched while growing up over the last 16-17 years on TV. It is just amazing that I got the chance to actually play with them and be part of a winning team with them.
"I just want to make the most of this time, and hopefully this will last a long time, as I am loving being here with the Mumbai Indians."
