Manchester City will be without a manager when they take on Reading in their inconsequential English Premier League clash Tuesday.
The deposed Premier League champions decided to fire Roberto Mancini after three-and-a-half years in charge and Brian Kidd will be the man in control for the game at the Madejski Stadium and also the final game of the season against Norwich at the Etihad.
Reading have already been relegated from the Premier League, while City are currently three points clear of third-placed Chelsea, having played a game less.
Manchester City will still be reeling from the terrible 1-0 loss to Wigan in the F.A. Cup final, and Kidd is now likely to make a few changes to his lineup.
Reading manager Nigel Adkins insisted his side would not take the game easily and wanted his team to go all out for a win. "You always put pressure on yourself to perform and to build. If you go into a game too relaxed then you can get turned over in a big way," Adkins told reporters.
"On Saturday the players worked really hard and did a lot of things we talked about in preparation for the game, credit to them for carrying it out in a big way. We were delighted to get the winning feeling back.
"We have two games left and both games will be very challenging, we've got to keep building on the progress we've made. We've got to get as many messages into the players as possible before the start of pre-season.
"We know next season will be relentless and we want to play winning football. Saturday was a good victory and was very pleasing."
Reading will be without Jimmy Kebe, although Hope Akpan could be back in contention. Adam Federici and Jason Roberts are also ruled out for the Royals.
Manchester City will have their most consistent player this season - Pablo Zabaleta - suspended, following his red card against Wigan in the F.A. Cup final. Scott Sinclair is ruled out for the rest of the season.
