NBA Playoffs 2013 East Finals: Indiana Pacers David West To Play Game 1 Against Miami Heat Despite Leg Injury As Roy Hibbert Ready For Chris Bosh and LeBron James

The Miami Heat are ready for the Indiana Pacers no matter who they put on the floor on Wednesday night for Game 1, including David West, who is expected to play in the game despite injuring his leg earlier in the postseason.

According to ESPN.com, West is expected to play in the game with his injured right leg, which kept him out of practice on Tuesday before the Eastern finals begins. The team held West out of practice and coach Frank Vogel said there was a good chance he could play with the lower leg and calf strain. West has been one of the most consistent players for the Pacers and his leadership will be needed in the series.

Roy Hibbert had a thumb issue that was taped up after practice, but it is nothing serious and is expected to be fully healthy for the game on Wednesday night in Miami. Indiana is in the conference finals for the first time since 2004 and the team is ready to take on the Heat for the second time in as many seasons. The Pacers were up 2-1 on the team last year before losing all three of the next games and the team is hoping for a better result this year, as they are now more experienced and hungry after defeating the Knicks in six games.
