Oakland Raiders Rumors: Charles Woodson Signs 1-Year Contract Worth An Estimated $4.3 Million

The Charles Woodson free agency saga has finally come to an end as the veteran has finally inked a deal with the team that started it all, the Oakland Raiders.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Woodson signed a 1-year deal worth $4.3 million, which is what he can earn including incentives. The deal also includes a $700,000 signing bonus.

Woodson, 36, recently appeared less interested and motivated by free agency, but had just one message to fans on Raiders.com: "Just win, baby."

Woodson was the Raiders fourth overall pick in 1998, spending his first eight seasons in the NFL with them, before playing his last seven seasons for the Green Bay Packers. He helped in the Packers effort to secure a Super Bowl after the 2010 season, and has originally said that after his time with the Packers that he wanted to go a team  who's going to contend for a title.

Woodson garnered 55 interceptions throughout his career and was the league's Defensive Player of the Year in 2009. The eight-time Pro Bowler also racked up 17 sacks, 24 forced fumbles and 11 interceptions that returned for touchdowns, which places him second all-time in NFL history,

In 2012, Woodson moved from cornerback to safety but that was because of a broken collarbone he suffered on Oct. 21. Prior to the injury, he started in at least 14 games in 10 of his previous 12 seasons.
