Paul George Shirt in Press Conference (Photo) Worse Call than Frank Vogel Decision?

Pual George finished Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with 27 points, four rebounds and five assists. Unfortunately, the more memorable aspects of the night were the LeBron James game-winner and George's shirt he wore to the press conference.

It might not be fair to kick a man while he's down, but George should have brought a backup plan. He had already absorbed the life out of American Airlines Arena by sinking a game-tying three and hitting what would have been game winning free throws. George had ice cold veins in the closing seconds of regulation and overtime, but he looked like he has in a Boston Celtics press conference with the outfit he wore to the game. Maybe it was the luck of the Irish that gave George what he needed to finish those plays, but that doesn't mean the outfit looked good.

Yeah, this looks bad.

Are those leather green pants? He might as well be headed to a salsa competition following Game 1. There's a lost of Spanish flavor in Miami so who knows, but this is definitely a bigger foul than the one Dwyane Wade committed late in the game to send George to the line. George was hit on his right elbow, though it was more of a tap than a hit that sent and he went to the free throw line with :02. 2 seconds remaining. He drilled all three as Wade was fouled out of the game.

However, overshadowing George's horrific outfit is Frank Vogel's decision to sit Roy Hibbert. Not only did James finish twice at the basket, Vogel decided to sit the big man on both occasions. It's almost like Vogel had the worst case of short term memory forgetting that James had penetrated to the bucket in the previous possession and forgetting that the Pacers had clogged up the paint and kept Norris Cole and James away from the hoop after they had beaten the first defender.

In George's case, he should start putting more effort into his outfits as he did at the end of the game. He doesn't want to be remembered as the guy who couldn't stop James and the guy with bad taste.
