The 2013 French Open is practically here. The first round matchups are set for all seeded players. Here are all the Men's Singles draws and meetings for the first round of the tournament that is expected to take a few days to complete.
For Rafael Nadal, he'll start from No. 3 in Men's Singles and work his way to the top as he's the defending French Open champion. After missing the last two grand slams, (three if you count his second round elimination from Wimbledon) Nadal looks forward to making a grandiose return as he chases his eighth French Open title.
Novak Djokovic will be ranked No. 1 in the tournament, followed by the still dominant Roger Federer. There will be no Andy Murray in the 2013 French Open as he battles through back issues. He will look to make his return in 2013 Wimbledon.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the highest ranked French player in the Men's Singles will look to make noise in this tournament as he will try to rise to the occasion in his home town. Last year, 2012, he made his most successful run at home as he made his way to the quarterfinals. This year, Nadal is back and he owns these grounds. It will be interesting to see if Tsonga can will through and play well in his backyard.
The last player to win the French Open was Yannick Noah in 1983, a good number of players active in this grand slam tournament weren't even born. Not even Tsonga.
