The Grizzlies have had their chances in this series. They almost came back in Game 1 and they couldn't close it out. Then they once again staged a comeback in Game 2, but they also fell short, this time in overtime. Game 3 saw them leading big in the first quarter, but their intensity decreased and the Spurs stopped committing turnovers. The Spurs took it to overtime and won Game 3 to take the 3-0 series lead.
We've heard it plenty of times, no team in the NBA has returned from an 0-3 deficit. There were a couple of series in the first round that quickly went 3-0, but they saw teams claw back and push things to a Game 6. Do the Grizzlies have that battle? Do they have what it takes to win at home and then take one from San Antonio at the AT&T Center? The Grizzlies had been undefeated at home, in the playoffs, before their Game 3 loss.
The Spurs have all the reason to be confident about wrapping this series up. Look for them to come out with intensity as they can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Spurs have been super dominant in the playoffs once again. They are 11-2 in the playoffs having lost two games to the Golden State Warriors in the second round. They aren't the most entertaining team to watch, but these guys know how to play.
