Olympic gold medalist swimmer turned reality star Ryan Lochte was embarrassed in a rare television moment when his longtime girlfriend of four years dumped him on national television.

But here's the kicker, it was over the phone.

Lochte, 28, in his latest episode of his hit E! reality show "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?", was eating dinner with his friends when he received a phone call from Holler, 23, from London. Right after the five-time gold-medalist exited the restaurant, turned off his microphone and instructed cameramen not to follow him or record the awkward moment.

That moment was the end of their long-distant relationship.

The breakup comes in large part due to the couples busy schedules and the many miles between them, as the pair only got the opportunity to meet in person just a few times a year.

According to the New York Daily News, Holler is the one who made the decision for the both of them, but Lochte remains optimistic about finding the right girl.

"What I really want is, I want to find that one true love that I want to spend the rest of my life with," Lochte told The Daily Beast. "And I just haven't found that yet. So I'm still looking."
