Just when everyone had dreams of Victor Cruz occupying the 30-minute time slot right before Keeping Up WithThe Kardashians, the New York Giants wide receiver had to crush them. While it was earlier reported that Cruz would signing up with likes of the E! Network faster than he signs his contract extension in New York, the Pro Bowler took to Twitter to deny any reports that he was in talks to do a reality show.

The New York Daily News originally reported that Cruz was sorting through reality television show offers. He was quoted saying, "It is going to be something that is very unique to me and very unique to what I like, and like to do. We are still fielding some requests, so we will see how it goes-the times has to be right, and I have got to squeeze in some training in there before the season starts."

The anger coming from the Giants fan base could be felt for miles. Was Cruz going to be the next Kris Humphries? He said he aimed to have a show that was all him.

"I definitely want it to be my show. My own thing, something that I can contribute to and something I like to do, I can be comfortable with, and an easy show, something people like to watch and that people can be in tune with on a daily basis."

However, do not set your DVRs so fast because Cruz tweeted absolute denial of the whole story.

"This is truly God testing me for something much bigger. Never EVER doing a reality show. Nor am I in talks for one. #NYmediaboredom," Cruz wrote.

While Cruz may be denying the report, he was quoted extensively saying he weighing his options about the show. Cruz also pointed out that it was important the Giants make it to the Super Bowl since the game will be held in New York. He notes the location is extra motivation for the team going into 2013.

Cruz still remains unsigned with the Giants and has yet to show up to any of the voluntary workouts as the team and his agents work on a long-term deal. Negotiations have reportedly hit a snag. Cruz is looking for something in the $8 million per year range and the Giants are not prepared to pay a slot receiver that amount of money. His contract is a priority for the team as the receiver plus teammate Hakeem Nicks will be free agents next season.
