After easing past Japan in the first match of the Confederations Cup, Brazil will look to carry forward the momentum when they take on Mexico in the Confederations Cup.
Neymar was at his sparkling best in the opening game of the tournament and the Brazilian fans will expect more of the same from their side in Rio De Janeiro against Mexico, who lost their opening encounter 2-1 to Italy.
Brazil have a tremendous recent record at home, having gone unbeaten in 30 games. They haven't lost a single game in their home turf since Aug. 21, 2002, when Paraguay beat them 1-0, notching up 21 wins and 9 draws since then.
"It shows how strong we are here, even with the pressure that's on us, which is only to be expected," Fred told FIFA.com. "Quite apart from those stats, what's surprised us more than anything is the support we've had from the fans.
"Obviously that all depends on how we perform on the pitch, but we hope to carry on winning so that we can keep the run going and, most importantly of all, keep the fans on our side."
Chelsea and Brazil defender David Luiz wants the record to continue for a few more years yet. "We want it to continue, don't we? We want to keep the run going and make sure it isn't broken," he said. "After all, we've got the Confederations Cup this year and the World Cup next."
Mexico were outplayed in large periods by Italy in their first game, with the peerless Andrea Pirlo calling all the shots in midfield.
The South Americans will want a better performance against Brazil, and Mexico's Francisco Rodriguez is confident of a positive result, having beaten the Brazilians 2-0 in a friendly last year in June.
"I think we're playing well and showing everything we've got," he said. "What we need to do is stay calm. When you work hard you get your reward and that's what we've got in mind, to keep on giving it 100 percent.
"We're not giving up and we're going to prepare hard for the Brazil match, which will be just as or even twice as tough."
