Boston Center Of Sports World With Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez Murder Case, Celtics Trade With Los Angeles Clippers and Bruins In Stanley Cup Finals (Live Updates)

For many people in the city, Boston is the center of the universe, but with a number of things going on in sports, it certainly is the center of the sports world right now, as three of the biggest stories have originated from the city, including the Bruins in the Stanley Cup, the Celtics working on a trade with the Clippers and the Aaron Hernandez murder investigation.

CLICK here for more updates on the Hernandez case.

Hernandez's story came out of nowhere over the past week and he has been questioned by police in connection with the murder of Odin Lloyd, who was an associate and a semi-pro football player. The reports say that he is not ruled out as a suspect yet and that Lloyd was dating the sister of the mother of Hernandez's daughter. The body was found shot in the head, execution style a mile from the tight end's home.

The investigation has brought scrutiny on the Patriots star and some past nightclub incidents, as well as his connections in the past to shady friends and other associates. Hernandez had some background issues before heading into the NFL draft and now that he is a premier player for the team, this looks pretty bad. The city was shocked to hear about it, now the situation I moving very fluidly as police figure out what happens next. Reports conflicted about whether he will be arrested and also that he destroyed his home security and cell phone and also that he had his house cleaned on Monday.

In lighter news, the Bruins are tied 2-2 in the Stanley Cup playoffs after a thrilling overtime loss in Game 4 that saw 11 goals as Chicago won 6-5, bouncing back from a 2-0 Tuukka Rask shutout in Game 3. The two teams have been evenly matched in the series and Boston now will have to win two of three games, two of which are on the road if necessary. The series has had three overtime games and tough play is expected the rest of the way.

Boston got goals from Patrice Bergeron, Milan Lucic and Johnny Boychuk in the game and Rask finished with 41 saves. The team now is 2-2 and has the chance to go 3-2 to win their second cup in three seasons. The Celtics trade with the Los Angeles Clippers is continuing and while the league says it may have to step in, it appears it's getting close to happening. The separate trades would send Kevin Garnett to LA for DeAndre Jordan, while Rivers will go for two first round picks.

Boston is the center of the sports world right now. Keep it up dudes.
