Real Madrid president Florentino Perez remains confident of naming Carlo Ancelotti as the new manager, while also being hopeful of signing Isco in the summer.
Ancelotti has been Real's no. 1 candidate ever since severing ties with Jose Mourinho at the end of last season.
The appointment has taken longer than expected due to the fact that PSG were reluctant to let go of the Italian until they found their own successor.
That seems to have been sorted now with Laurent Blanc set to be named the new manager of the Parisian club.
Blanc said at the weekend he is set for talks with PSG and expects to sign in the next couple of days. "I'll be in Paris to discuss a deal," he said. "There is a good chance that I will sign.
"I cannot say much more for now, we'll know more later in the week.
"PSG is a great opportunity for me, it's a great club. (The project) is very interesting. I'm going to do what I want to do -- and that's train."
Once Blanc's appointment is confirmed, Ancelotti will then be allowed to sign for Real, something that Perez has wanted all along.
"As of today (Monday) nothing is signed," he told 20minutos. "It could be tomorrow (Tuesday) that PSG announces an agreement which allows him to move to Madrid.
"Hopefully everything goes well. My coach is Ancelotti."
Perez admitted the appointment was dependant on Blanc signing for PSG. "That PSG reach an agreement with Ancelotti and announce their new coach, Blanc (is necessary)," he added. "PSG president (Nasser Al-Khelaifi) is an open-minded man.
"He was a professional tennis player and is very young. He is a modern president."
Perez also remains confident of capturing Spanish starlet Isco, who is also wanted by Manchester City.
"He wants to be a Real Madrid player and Madrid want him," he said.
Spanish international and Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal had recently claimed Isco was set to sign for Real and snub a move to City, and Isco, himself hinted at a move to the Bernabeu.
"Madrid excites me," he told AS. "They are one of the best teams in the world."
Real Madrid are reported to have agreed a €30 million (£25.5 million, $39 million) deal with Malaga for Isco, with Real Madrid youngster Denis Cheryshev tipped to move the other way.
