NFL Rumors: Tony Romo Believes Dallas Cowboys 'Complete Team' as Jerry Jones Pressure Not Concern for Quarterback, Promises Playoffs in 2013

Tony Romo is extremely focused on the upcoming football season. He is so focused that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback claims his golf game is almost non-existent. While putting on a passing camp in his hometown, the quarterback said he is putting in so much work to improve at football that he has not golfed in months. In fact, he says the entire Cowboys are taking the same approach.

The Super Bowl is on the mind of every Dallas player as the team begins work towards the 2013 season. Owner Jerry Jones has put on the pressure to start performing and get to the postseason this season and Romo firmly believes that may happen. He praises this year's roster as one of the best in recent years.

"This is one of the most complete teams that I've been around. It's going to be a very enjoyable football season," Romo told ESPNDallas.com.

Cowboys' fans certainly hope that is true. Romo understands that this year is crucial after he signed a rather large contract extension worth over $100 million this offseason. He is thankful the team is showing confidence in his abilities to lead the team to a Super Bowl. Calm down Romo, win a playoff game first. Despite the large contract, Romo is letting the pressure of the upcoming season get to him.

"Pressure and fear are all just in your own brain," Romo said. "To me, it's nothing more than you going out and your competing you're butt off every day and trying to win everyday. So I don't allow what outside influences affect my psyche or what my mental makeup is. It's about this room, this team and how I'm going to get myself and my teammates ready to play. Outside influences don't directly affect how your emotional state is."

Romo proved that he can be great, especially in the final set of games in the 2012 season. He went 5-3 in the last eight games, throwing 18 touchdown passes and just six interceptions. But all of that is forgotten considering Dallas bombed in their final game against the Washington Redskins, ending their chances at the playoffs. However, the quarterback ranked in the top ten in several quarterback statistics. He may be getting ahead of himself talking about a Super Bowl, but his stats show he can certainly get there.
