Day 4 at the All English Club is through, but due to the rain, some of Thursday's matches will leak into Friday, Day 5 of 2013 Wimbledon. Andy Murray, David Ferre and now the man of the tournament, Sergiy Stakhovsky will hit the courts for their upcoming matchups. Here's Friday's schedule.
Had Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka advanced to the third round, then they would have highlighted Friday's matchups, but unfortunately for them, they are no longer in the tournament. Federer's slayer, Stakhovsky will face Jurgen Melzer in Court 3 a little after 12 p.m. GMT. Their matchup immediately follows the conclusion of Grega Zemlja vs. Grigor Dimitrov's second round match, which was postponed due to rain.
Speaking of rain outs, Ferrer, No. 4 in Men's Singles, was unable to get his match on the road. Ferrer will face Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain at 8 a.m. ET/1 p.m. GMT in Court 2. They will be followed by Petra Kvitova (8) and Ekatirina Makarova (25).
Without a doubt, the highlight of Friday's schedule is Murray's match against Tommy Robredo (32). The series between this two is tied 2-2. Robredo was the dominant player when they met in 2006 at Metz and 2007 in Las Vegas. However, Murray won the last two meetings in 2009 at Indian Wells and Madrid. The two have not faced each other since their last meeting in 2009 at Madrid.
