Aaron Hernandez's girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins is left home along with her child now that her fiancé is in jail on murder charges and she was seen multiple times in court for his hearings and was visibly emotional about things.
According to ESPN.com, Jenkins originally was talking to the authorities, but soon stopped after Hernandez told her to. The 24-year-old has an eight month old daughter with Hernandez and she is the sister of Odin Lloyd's girlfriend Shanea. The two met through that and that connection is how Hernandez and Lloyd became acquainted before the murder. The state laid out evidence at Hernandez's arraignment and the evidence is circumstantial but not good for Hernandez.
The state laid out text messages and video of Hernandez on the night of the murder and they now also have two more people in custody that are connected. Text messages and cell phone records show that Hernandez texted his friends to come to Attleboro, then asked Lloyd to join him later in the night and later on, video showed Hernandez pulling home soon after the murder.
The state also showed that video had Hernandez with a gun prior to the killing and arriving home two minutes after the shots were heard. Lloyd's body was found in an industrial park a mile from the home with five gunshots and the shells that were collected could be traced back to Hernandez. The Patriots released the star despite a large cap hit and now his NFL career and life may be over depending on how the trial goes.
At his second bail hearing he was called a flight risk and now Hernandez could be facing life in prison and Jenkins may end up having to testify if the two do not get married. Jenkins and her sister are connected to both men and the state said that the altercation began when Lloyd was seen disrespecting and talking to someone Hernandez did not like in a nightclub the week before the murder. The tight ends past have been scrutinized and he had drug and fighting issues at Florida. He recently signed a five year $40 million contract and now all that is gone and he is a cautionary tale.
