Neymar has urged Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney to join him at Barcelona, while the Spanish champions are set to make one last attempt to persuade Thiago Silva to join the club in the summer from Paris Saint-Germain.
Rooney is said to have asked for a move away from Old Trafford this summer, with Barcelona amongst the clubs thought to be interested in making a move.
Some reports have suggested Barca are ready to put in a £25 million ($38 million) offer for the England international, who has also been linked with moves to PSG, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Neymar, who was in top form for Brazil in the final of the Confederations Cup against Spain, only joined Barcelona this summer and is yet to play a game for the Spanish side, but would love to start his Camp Nou sojourn in the company of Rooney.
"The style of football we (Barcelona) play and the level of the players we have -- we are the perfect club for the top players to join," he said.
"I have met Wayne on a few occasions and he seems a good guy but importantly, he is one of the players I admire most in the world.
"Wayne is one of the most gifted and technical players in the world.
"Of course he would improve Barcelona. He would improve any club in Europe. And on a personal level, it would be a dream to play with him."
Meanwhile, Barca have sent director of football Raul Sanllehi to Brazil in a bid to entice Silva to move to the Camp Nou.
Barcelona missed out on the Brazilian international's signing last summer, with AC Milan deciding to sell the defender to PSG in a double deal which also saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic join the French club.
After being found out at the back last season, Barcelona are desperate to strengthen their defense this summer and again see Silva as the perfect candidate to lead the back-four.
Sanllehi is set for talks with the player and his agent Paulo Tonietto and are hopeful PSG will be forced to sell Silva, if the defender himself makes it clear he wants a move to Barcelona.
