Torii Hunter: Police Draw Guns on Angels Outfielder, Possible Racial Profiling

Angels outfielder Torii Hunter had guns draw on him outside of his home on Wednesday.

The police came to Hunter's home after he accidentally set off the alarm in his Newport, Californiamansion.

Twenty minutes after Hunter's alarm went off, the police were outside of his home. He went outside to speak with the cops, and was surprised at what he saw.

"They drew their guns on me," he tweeted.

Hunter tried to explain that it was his house, but the police weren't buying his story. They wanted proof that he wasn't breaking in to someone's home.

"They didn't believe I lived here in Newport Coast so they walked me upstairs at gunpoint to get my ID," tweeted Hunter. "When I showed him my ID, he said I'm an Angel fan hope u guys have a great season. ARE U KIDDING ME!!!!!! Lol."

After hearing about the story, Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson tweeted at Hunter, "That's racist!" The outfielder responded, "lol... Now u know I can't say that."

Once the incident was over, Hunter explained that he wasn't mad at the police.

"Hey Twitterland! I'm not upset that the cops did their job today. I'm actually glad they were protecting home. It was my fault that the alarm went off anyways. I just thought it was cool to let u guys know my awkward moment for today."

Hunter and the Angels begin their season on Friday when they host the Royals.
