Chad Johnson Runs 24 MPH On Treadmil (Video)

Chad Johnson never was one to walk away from a challenge, and definitely never was going to allow another person to upstage him neither.

Just a week ago Arizona Cardinals 29-year-old rookie Robert Gill posted an incredible video on the internet of him running 25 miles per hour on a treadmill, even making its way to the "Today" show, thus making it a viral success.

Well Johnson took on the challenge and made a video of his own.

Johnson, who is still currently looking for work with an NFL team, ran 24 miles per hour on a 2.5 percent incline.

According to PlanetScience.com, Usain Bolt's average speed during his world-record setting 9.58-second, 100-meter sprint in 2009 was 23.4 miles per hour (he maxed out at 27.4 miles per hour).

Besides being fast, both Bolt and Johnson have something else in common: neither is an NFL receiver.

Either way the video is impressive, but should not be tried at home.

Johnson was recently released from a30-day jail sentence after celebrating inappropriately during a hearing involving his probation violation from his no-contest plea last year for a battery charge against his then-wife, Evelyn Lozada.

Johnson received good news in his hearing, but when he gave his attorney a pat on the backside, all things went downhill from there.

Johnson's attorney, Adam Swickle, pleaded to McHugh to reconsider the sentencing, saying the backside pat was merely Johnson's way of showing appreciation for his attorney's work on the case.

Johnson said in court that he'd had plenty of time to think about why his attitude was wrong-especially in a domestic violence case.

"I just wanted to apologize for disrespecting the court last time," said Johnson, wearing a tan jail jumpsuit with his hands shackled at the waist. "I apologize. I did have time to reflect on the mistakes I made in this courtroom."
