Andy Murray will target history when he takes on his great rival Novak Djokovic in the men's singles final of Wimbledon.
Both players have faced their respective battles to get to the summit clash, but none more so than Djokovic, who was made to toil for over four hours in an epic semifinal clash with Juan Martine Del Potro.
Murray, who faced a similar battle in the quarterfinals, will take all the confidence he can from an impressive semifinal victory over Jerzy Janowicz and look to get past the loss to Djokovic in the Australia Open final this year.
The Brit, looking to become the first Wimbledon winner since Fred Perry way back in 1936, will need to fall back on his brilliant win in the U.S. Open last year as well as the London Olympics - in the same All England courts - if he is to pull off a victory over Djokovic come Sunday.
"I'll be probably in a better place mentally," Murray, who lost to Roger Federer in the finals at SW19 last year, said. "You know, I would hope so just because I've been there before. I won a Grand Slam. I would hope I would be a little bit calmer going into Sunday.
"But you don't know. You don't decide that. I might wake up on Sunday and be unbelievably nervous, more nervous than I ever have been before.
"I think I learnt a lot from last year's Wimbledon," he added. "The whole grass court season last year I learnt a lot from.
"The one thing that kind of stands out is I knew how I needed to play the sort of big matches, or try to play the big matches after Wimbledon, because I didn't come away from that final kind of doubting sort of myself or the decisions I made on the court, because I went for it.
"I lost, but I didn't have any regrets as such."
