NY Knicks Rumors: Carmelo Anthony Out In 2014? How Teams Current Roster May Decide Whether Star Stays Or Goes

If this year's NBA free agency gives any hint of what to expect next year then fans should prepare for a circus.

With big names like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade to name a few, the rumor mill has already begun to stir as speculation about who goes where runs rapid over the internet.

One being the future of Anthony with the New York Knicks as new reports are suggesting that Anthony my choose to join with the Los Angeles Lakers after next season. Speculation about this happening came to be after Anthony expressed desire to the franchise to add another secondary scorer to the roster.

As of now the Knicks are currently a mixture of one superstar in Anthony, two injury-prone big men in Tyson Chandler and Amar'e Stoudemire, a promising young talent in Iman Shumpert and a foray of filler to complete their roster.

Although Anthony's desire is to remain with the Knicks, if they fall short of winning a title once again, then he may be tempted to leave in search of a greater opportunity.

Possibly even joining Kobe Bryant on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bryant, who is good friends with Anthony, once said back in 2011 when asked which NBA player he would most like to team up with he said:

"I would actually like to play with Melo," said Bryant, as documented by Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.com in 2011.  "Championships are won on the inside and I'm always thinking about winning the title.  I would love to play with Melo because I would know that I have an inside presence.  That's really been the biggest strength with our Lakers team."
