Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has asked Paris Saint-Germain to refrain from publicly showing their admiration for Yohan Cabaye, while revealing his interest for Loic Remy and Darren Bent.

Cabaye has been constantly linked with a move to French champions PSG this summer, with the new manager Laurent Blanc recently expressing his admiration for the midfielder.

PSG are expected to possibly make a bid for the French international, with Newcastle likely to demand well over £20 million ($30 million) for Cabaye.

"A little bit (annoyed by the courting of the player). I don't think that's right," Pardew told the Chronicle.

"He can get on the phone to me or make a bid. I think that's the right way to do it.

"I think the way it's come out isn't perhaps respectful to Yohan. That's something I want to talk to him about."

Pardew, though, did publicly reveal interest in QPR forward Remy and Aston Villa striker Bent.

"Both of those players are on our list. I make no bones about that," he told the Northern Echo.

"But they are under contract at other clubs. It's difficult, you have to be careful. It's nice for our fans to hear names, but I don't want to disrupt other clubs' preparations.

"We have a list of four or five strikers who will push Papiss Cisse, Shola Ameobi, Adam Campbell and Yoan Gouffran because that will be important next season.

"We do need two strikers. Last year, I didn't think there was enough competition in that area for a Premier League team."

Remy is expected to leave QPR this summer, with the London club being relegated to the Championship and desperate to shed some of the high wages.

Bent has been marginalized by Paul Lambert ever since the manager took over at Villa last summer and the former England international will be keen to complete a move away from the club in search of first team opportunities.
