The George Zimmerman verdict sparked protests all over the nation after he was found not guilty for the awful murder of Trayvon Martin and after the verdict came down many people went to Twitter to write about it, including various athletes and people in the sports world like Stevie Johnson, Michael Vick, Shaq, Roddy White, Dwyane Wade, Adrian Peterson and more.
White went off at first, writing "All them jurors should go home tonight and kill themselves for letting a grown man get away with killing a kid" before apologizing and Victor Cruz also made comments that he later apologized for. Stevie Johnson made one of the best points, writing about how Michael Vick got more time for fighting dogs than a man gets for killing a young black kid, proving an awful point in America.
Here are some of the reactions from Twitter:
Johnson: Living in a world where you fight dogs; you could lose everything (Mike Vick).. If you kill a black man you're not guilty! #INjusticeSystem
