LA Lakers NBA Rumors: Brandon Jennings, Metta World Peace, Lamar Odom, Kenyon Martin, Gerald Henderson, Nate Robinson Top Free Agents As Knicks, Raptors, Clippers Targets?

The NBA offseason and free agent period has been moving along quickly and now that top names like Dwight Howard, Chris Paul and Andre Iguodala have signed new deals, a number of teams are still looking to add players and some of the top names left include Brandon Jennings, Metta World Peace, Lamar Odom, Kenyon Martin, Gerald Henderson, Nate Robinson and Elton Brand.

There are a number of teams out there that are looking for more talent, including the Los Angeles Lakers, but considering their financial situation, some of those names may be out of their price range. The team has made solid moves so far this offseason since losing Dwight Howard, including bringing in Chris Kaman and Nick Young and while the team still isn't quite at a championship level, losing Howard may be the best thing since he brought so much negative energy to the table for Kobe Bryant and company.

Some of the top names are restricted free agents like Brandon Jennings and while the Bucks want to keep him after losing Monta Ellis, they could let him go and focus on OJ Mayo and Like Ridnour in the backcourt. Jennings is one of the most talented players left on the market, but it says a lot that the team went after Jeff Teague and although the Hawks have appeared to match their offer, it could mean Jennings is on his way out. Pro Basketball Talk reports that Jennings wants over $10 million per season, but at this point it is not likely and now the Bucks can try to wait him out and if they want to keep him they can always match any offer.

Metta World Peace was let go by the Lakers after a number of years and although he said he wants to play in China, that likely will not be going down and instead he will be with the Knicks or Clippers, how appear to the frontrunners to get him. He cleared waivers with no issues and now he can sign for the minimum for one year because the Lakers are still paying him and that means he could be a perfect for the Knicks. Martin is also in that conversation after averaging 7.2 points and 5.3 rebounds a game and he could be a fir for a number of teams after playing with the Knicks.

Nikola Pekovic is likely staying with the Wolves, but the team and his reps are working on a deal that rumored to start at four years, $50 million, but that will likely come down. Gerald Henderson is restricted and he may be on his way out after averaging over 15 points per game last season. Odom has been rumored to be going back to the Lakers as well as the Clippers and he likely will only get one-year offers. Nate Robinson also continues to be an option for teams after how well he played in the postseason for the Bulls without Derrick Rose.
