Former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber finally reached an agreement on his divorce proceedings with ex-wife Ginny Barber.
Barber had been married to Ginny for 11 years, but dumped his college sweetheart for a 23-year-old NBC intern while his wife was pregnant with twins.
The two had battled back in forth in the packages of New York tabloids, but the New York Post reported on Thursday that the pair had finally reached a settlement. The Post didn't have an exact figure on how much Ginny would receive from Tiki Barber, but it's believed to be less than the $150,000 a month she demanded in 2010. Barber has four children, including the two twin daughters, with his ex-wife.
One of the main issues is that Barber's income wouldn't be able to support that hefty amount each month. The former NFL player lost his job as a NBC correspondent after the affair became public. He attempted a return to the NFL this past season, but no team was interested in bringing him back. In 2010 the Post reported that Barber was financially broke and couldn't afford to pay his divorce settlement with his ex-wife.
The 36-year-old Barber is expected to marry Traci Lynn Johnson, the former NBC intern, this spring, according to the New York Daily News.
