There is no doubt that the U.S. is the favorite to win this match. They are a perfect 5-0 in this year's Gold Cup tournament and a perfect 6-0 would grant them a title, standing just one more away from the title leaders, Mexico. The Mexicans weren't granted access to the Gold Cup finale because Panama stepped up to defeat them, for the second time, in the semifinal matchup.
Both squads have dynamic offenses, but the U.S. brings the heavier artillery as Landon Donovan and Chris Wondolowski have scored five goals each. Panama's, Gabriel Torres, also has five scores in the tournament. He should allow Panama to keep pace with the U.S. as long as their defense can slow down the Americans.
