Following a rough go of it at home at Old Trafford, Chelsea has decided to go along with its bid for Wayne Rooney but the move could be delayed until next week, according to ESPNFC.com and there is a chance a change could happen.
Chelsea previously made a bid for Rooney that was reported for around £10 million plus Juan Mata or David Luiz, but later it came out that is was actually £20 million, but it was turned down. The rumors have come up after some confusion for Rooney, who was booed by the home crowd at the end of the season and other reports coming out saying that he was angry and possibly wanted a chance. New manager David Moyes said that Rooney isn't for sale and there is a chance that the Blues next offer could be much bigger.
Moyes said that Rooney would come back as a backup striker to start and more reports have come out that Rooney wants to move on. While a change still is likely a long way off, Chelsea and Jose Mourinho are hoping something could happen quickly, as the club needs a jolt up front. Rooney has won a player of the year award and once scored over 30 goals for United and Chelsea is hoping they can get their hands on him with another bid.
