The LA Angels and Texas Rangers both wanted to make big moves at the deadline this year and now that it has passed, the team still has Elvin Andrus and Joe Nathan and now they can concentrate on trying to win the AL west over the A's, who have been playing fantastic ball this summer and are leaving the Rangers behind.

The Angels have a worse record than the Mariners and that is saying a lot and the Rangers have been struggling on offense all season and now that Nelson Cruz may be suspended for Biogenesis, things could get even worse, as Cruz is leading the team in home runs and RBIs this season. The team finally busted out with six runs and 11 hits off CJ Wilson and ended up winning 14-11 against the Angels and now the two teams will have another chance to go at it.
Adrian Beltre will be relied on even more now and at 58-49 the Rangers are five games behind the Athletics in the West division. Jerome Williams will be on the mound for the Angels while the Rangers will have Martin Perez and Mike Trout will be the focus for the Angles, as he is hitting .385 with six homers and 14 RBIs in 17 career games
"They committed themselves to each other to try to finish as strong as we possibly can," manager Ron Washington said. "We have two games that were very exciting."
