The Summer X Games are underway in Los Angeles and after a great start to the games there have been some amazing tricks and performances, including from Bob Burnquist, Kevin Robinson, Bucky Lasek, Paul Rodriguez, upstart Njah Huston and Garrett Reynolds as well as names like Travis Pastrana and Ken Block.
There were a number of great events on Thursday, including the Street League Skateboarding Select Series that saw Ryan Decenzo come in first, as well as the Moto X Best Whip, which was won by Josh Hansen, as well as the freestyle, which was won by Taka Higashino. Skateboard Big Air was taken by Elliot Smith and the Women's Skateboard Street was taken by Leticia Bufoni, followed by Lacey Baker and Marisa Dal Santo. Decenzo pulled off some awesome tricks including a 360 flip and ended up on top.
Bufoni was consistent during her run to take the top spot in the women's, while Burnquist showed off he still has it at an old age. The 29-year-old Hansen looked good on the course and ended up winning, while Higashino showed off some prime skills on his run. Burnquist won the Big Air last year in LA and now he has nine golds in his career and he has been in every single X Games, winning 25 medals.
Garrett Reynolds has won the BMX street competition at the X Games six times and he has shown how good he is on the course, while racing star Pastrana has won 11 gold medals at the X Games and has shown some flexibility in the events, winning 17 medals overall while competing in supercross, motocross, freestyle motocross and rally racing.
