Kings Take Control, Lead Series 3-0 Over Canucks

The Los Angeles Kings took commanding control of its playoff series against President's Cup winger Vancouver Canucks by beating them 1-0 on Sunday, to take a 3-0 lead in the series.

With superb goal tending and stifling defense by both teams through two periods, Dustin Brown finally broke through, scoring on a rebound to give the Kings a 1-0 lead in the 3rd period.

The Canucks, losers in the Stanley Cup finals last year to the Boston Bruins, were dominate all season long, coming into the playoffs with the most points in the league. 

However, it has been the eighth seeded Kings, who fought for its place in the playoffs, who are proving that they can handle the Canucks.

Now, the Kings have a chance to sweep the series and take down the might Canucks, on home ice in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
