Red Sox Rumors: Ryan Lavarnway Has Nightmare First Inning With Four Passed Balls As Boston Wins Rout Over Astros For AL East Lead (Video)

Boston Red Sox catcher Ryan Lavarnway had a rough start to Tuesday's night game against the Houston Astros with pitcher Steven Wright on the mound, allowing two runs on four passed balls while the team took a 3-0 lead in the first inning.

The game was a wild one anyway in Boston, with the Red Sox winning 15-10 after some power with Jacoby Ellsbury hitting two home runs and Jonny Gomes also adding one. Lavarnway ended up with two RBIs on the night while going 1-for-5 and the Red Sox won, so no harm done on that terrible first inning.
