The Fast and the Furious 7 suffered a big loss on Saturday, as star Paul Walker was killed in a car crash and while the tragedy was terrible, many are wondering if he finished his work on the film Fast and the Furious 7 for Vin Diesel and now the stars memorialize their friend.
Hot off her upcoming appearance in the newest installment in the "Expendables" film franchise, Ultimate Fighting Champion Ronda Rousey is joining another Hollywood blockbuster, as the fighting star will appear in "Fast and Furious 7" alongside film star Vin Diesel.
According to Variety.com, production on the film will start in September in Atlanta and Rousey will appear in the film in a supporting role. Rousey's role is the first major casting news for the film apart from its main stars and the article says that negotiations have started and should close at some point soon. The film will start shooting in the fall in Georgia and the cast includes main stars Diesel, Paul Walker as well as Jordana Brewster and James Wan is joining the franchise as director while producer Neal H. Moritz and writer Chris Morgan remain in the same positions.
Diesel has produced some of the films in the past and comes off the huge success of "Fast & Furious 6", which grossed over $700 million around the world for Universal Studios. Rousey is also set to appear in "The Expendables 3" and since both are obviously action movies, he background in fighting and mixed martial arts should serve her fairly well as she prepares to make the jump to the silver screen.
Rousey's next big UFC event is in December against Mischa Tate and she plans to shoot both films back to back, likely before the event. Rousey recently appeared on the cover of Maxim and is a champion in the UFC.
