2013 NFL Preseason is here. The Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals will do the honors off kicking off on the first day. Both teams were in the postseason in 2012 and they are expected to return this season. However, they must find out what new talent they could add to their team. The Falcons were so, so close last year. They had the San Francisco 49ers beat, but they couldn't close off the game. The Bengals were bounced by the Houston Texasn for the second consecutive year in the Wild Card Game.
Andy Dalton and Matt Ryan are great quarterbacks, who should be able to put on a show in the 2013 season. However, both teams will enter the 2013 season looking for a running back.
The Falcons have Steven Jackson, but the question is, will Jackson remain healthy for a good portion of the season? The Falcons have invited eight running backs, including Jackson, to preseason. As for the Bengals, they hope BenJarvus Green-Ellis can be the real deal, but as backups, they have invited five other runningbacks, totaling six on their preseason roster.
Atlanta is expecting another wonderful season from their Falcons, while the Bengals are expecting their wide outs to continue putting on a show. Who would you rather have on your team? A.J. Green, Roddy White or Julio Jones? You can blindly choose any of the three as they almost guarantee big plays when they matter most. The Bengals will invite 12 wide receivers to camp as they look to surround Green with dynamic receivers. The Falcons have their 1-2 punch, three if you count Harry Douglas, they are bringing a total of 11 wide receivers to preseason.
