Arsenal Transfer Rumors: Luis Suarez Takes A Vow Of Silence While On International Duty While Transfer Saga Continues With Gunners Expected To Make Another Bid This Week

Unhappy Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has promised to keep all transfer talk silent while on duty with Uruguay as they continue their international friendly matches in the coming weeks.

Suarez, who is currently being targeted by Arsenal, is desperate to force a move out of Anfield and the Gunners are likely to come back with a new bid sometime later this week.

However, Liverpool has made it clear that they do not want to sell him to Arsenal.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers accused Suarez of showing "total disrespect" and speaking after a pre-season defeat to Celtic said only after an apology would he be welcomed back into the Anfield fold.

"Initially there will be a recognition that (there needs to be) an apology to his team-mates and the club" Rodgers had said on Saturday.

"I have seen him over a period of time. I know it is not the Luis Suarez we know and I have to protect the fans and the players because they deserve more than that."

Suarez's agent Pere Guardiola claimed that Liverpool verbally agreed to negotiate if an offer of more than £35m came in and that while they would never sell to bitter rivals Manchester United, offers from big London clubs, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich would be entertained.

Suarez also said that Liverpool promised to tell him about any negotiations and now he feels let down because they've rejected an offer from Arsenal.

The star's camp are now considering presenting legal documents to Liverpool which, they feel, prove they have a case.

However, Professional Footballer's Association chief Gordon Taylor discovered the contract does not require Liverpool to sell him should they receive a bid of £40m.

Taylor has been called in by Suarez to try and seek a resolution between the player and the club over the exact meaning of the '£40million trigger' clause in the Uruguayan's contract - specifically whether it cues a sale or if things could be resolved with simple negotiations.
