Los Angeles Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Stresses The Importance Of Playing With One Team His Entire Career

Kobe Bryant has been fortunate and gifted enough to have been able to play his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers and will likely end his career in the purple and gold without a doubt. Recently Bryant revealed how staying with one team throughout his entire career was something he's always envisioned since he was a child.

While in The Phillipines during his tour with Lenovo, Bryant spoke about spending his entire career with the Lakers:

"It's very hard to find in this generation of sports an athlete that stays with one team the whole time. That's always been my dream as a kid, I've always felt like that's how it should be. You start out with a team and you end with a team. When I was growing up I bled purple and gold and I still do."

In today's sports it has become a rarity to have great players remain on one team throughout their careers, but Bryant isn't going anywhere for as long as Jeanie Buss has something to say about it.

"Kobe is part of the Laker family and he always will be. There's not many players who play 18-19 years with the same franchise, and it's important to us that he has a chance to play his entire career with the Lakers."

Kobe added in some more words about the importance of staying with a single team:

"It's important to me. It's something that I've always wanted to do growing up. It's different strokes for different folks. Everybody likes what they like, but for me it's really important to stay with one team."
