WWE Wrestler Darren Young Announces He's Gay To TMZ Cameras, Star Set To Appear At SummerSlam August 18 (Video)

WWE wrestler Darren Young was caught by TMZ cameras at the airport and when he was asked about whether a gay wrestler could succeed in the NFL, he gave a surprising answer back to the cameras, revelaing that he himself is a successful gay wrestler in the WWE.

According to Deadspin, Young spoke with TMZ in a quick interview at the airport and answered that absolutely a wrestler could make it. He admitted after to "look at me" and mentioned that he is gay and happy and working in the WWE. Young was also asked about making a difference and he said that he hopes he can make a difference for kids and everyone else out there and added that sexual preference shouldn't matter.

Young was at Los Angeles International Airport for the interview as he prepares for SummerSlam and according to ESPN's Jonathan Coachman, who according to Deadspin worked for the WWE in the past, said that wrestlers do not have much of an issue and that there were openly gay wrestlers working in the past. Young is joining the Superstars and Divas for the event and he is part of the Prime Time Players along with Titus O'Neil and now he will be one of the main stories heading into the event.
