The ceremonies already took place at 11 a.m. and it's now time to watch the Little League World Series. From Aug. 15-25, these young players will highlight their skills and represent their region as they attempt to be crowned 2013 Little League World Series Champions. Here's the live stream and the schedule as the first day of action has arrived.
First up, at 1 p.m. ET, it's Latin America vs. Caribbean. That game is into the fourth inning with the Latin Americans shutting out the Caribbean team, 6-0. The Caribbean team is represented by San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, while the Aguadulce youngsters from Panama are representing for Latin America.
Following this game, it's Southwest vs. Northwest at 3 p.m. ET on Lamade Field. The Northwest is represented by Sammamish, Washington and they face off against the kids from Corpus Christi, Texas.
Following Latin America vs. the Caribbean, watch Australia vs. Mexico at 5 p.m. ET in Volunteer Field. The kids from Perth will represent the Australian nation while Tijuana's youngsters take the field for the Mexican team.
The final game of the day will feature the Southeast vs. New England at 7 p.m. ET. Nashville, Tennessee will be representing the Southeast region while Westport, Connecticut will represent the New England region.
Last year's winning country, Japan, was not able to make the cut this year. They wound up winning the 2012 Little League World Series Championship after defeating Southeast region's Goodlettsville, Tennessee team 12-2.
