Chicago Bears Score vs. San Diego Chargers: NFL Preseason Game with Live Updates, Stats and Play-by-Play

The Chicago Bears host the San Diego Chargers Thursday night for some more NFL Preseason action. Can't watch the game? Follow the score online with play-by-play and live updates of all the action taking place in Soldier Field.

The Bears will keep their seventh round pick, Marquess Wilson. Why is he so important? He could be Brandon Marshall's counterpart down field. In Week 1's loss to the Carolina Panthers, Wilson went caught four passes for 82 yards. A chunk came from a 58-yard bomb, which proved impressive as the Bears look to surround Marshall with at least a couple of receivers. Alshon Jeffery will have to also step his game up as the second-year receiver will look to improve on a 2012 season that saw him catch 24 passes for 367 yards and three touchdowns.

The Chargers will have to play around with their roster. They will be missing Malcom Floyd as he is recuperating from a knee injury. He's expected to miss the remaining preseason games, which will give other guys a chance to impress. With Danario Alexander out for good this season, guys like Dan DePalma, who led the Chargers with 43 receiving yards and five catches against the Seattle Seahawks, Luke Tasker and Ladarius Green, who caught the Chargers' only touchdown, can fight for a starting spot on the team's roster.

It's going to be an uphill battle for the Chargers in 2013 as the Denver Broncos are the favorite to win the division. The Bears looked poised for another dominant season. However, their search for a wide receiver will be pivotal in their hopes of making a run at the division winners, the Green Bay Packers. Matt Forte has emerged as one of the league's most consistent backs. Marshall and Forte have gained quarterback Jay Cutler's trust, but they need a third and fourth player to emerge on offense.

The Bears' defense brings the fire power to this matchup. They had four turnovers against the Panthers in Week 1. Jon Bostic, their second round pick, picked off Cam Newton, returning the interception for a touchdown. It seems like any player can learn the Bears' way on defense. They will need players to step up big time as they look to replace former franchise player, Brian Urlacher.
