NY Yankees Rumors: Can Mark Reynolds Signing Help Playoff Chances? Alex Rodriguez May Have Leaked Ryan Braun and Biogenesis Names Says 60 Minutes

The New York Yankees just took two of three from the LA Angels and while they are still not right in the playoff picture, they are very close and to help get closer the team has signed Mark Reynolds.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Yankees signed Reynolds to a deal after he was released from the Indians and he could be a nice right-handed power hitting option for the team despite him slumping. He has a .484 OPS over the summer with 15 home runs, but the Yankees have gotten so little production with just 36 home runs from righties, so they were desperate for some power.

On top of that, Hardball Talk is reporting that Alex Rodriguez or someone in his camp obtained information and leaked it about Biogenesis and Brewers outfield Ryan Braun as well as Francisco Cervelli, his teammate. Click here for more on the report.

According to the report: "60 Minutes" has learned that members of New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez's inner circle in February obtained and leaked documents that implicated Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun as well as his own Yankees teammate, catcher Francisco Cervelli, in the doping scandal that has enveloped Major League Baseball.

The leak came just days after the weekly newspaper Miami New Times published documents in January detailing Rodriguez's pervasive use of performance enhancing drugs."
