LeBron James Rumors: Funny Tweets Hint South Beach Exit Due to Dwyane Wade?

LeBron James will become a free agent in 2014 and the rumors have started swirling. Kobe Bryant was asked about having James as a teammate, Kendrick Lamar's "King of NY" lyrics were even interpreted as an invitation for James to join the Knicks and the list goes on. Brian Mahoney, NBA write for the Associated Press, had some suggestions for teams attempting to lure basketball's best player and it involved using Dwyane Wade as bait to get him out. Here are the tweets.

It's ironic that Wade would be the reason for James' departure, but Mahoney makes a great point signaling Wade's ailing knees. He also makes a great point acknowledging that reporters tend to blow up Wade's injuries. Before playoff games, Wade attracts a lot of attention and it's never about his ability to go on runs and change the pace of a game, it's about his knees. Some say he's not the same player anymore and when he has a huge game, all of a sudden, they say "We are getting flashes of the old Flash."

Things didn't look too great when Wade misses open dunks. Though it happens to anybody, as soon as Wade misses a dunk, questions regarding his explosiveness and the health of his knees quickly arise.

Wade was the player who initially wooed James to Miami. So it would be funny to see James leave because Wade wouldn't be considered elite due to his chronic knee troubles. Though James is the best player on the team, the organization should be devoted to Wade. He was there when the team stunk. He remained patient when the team attempted to rebuild after winning a championship and Wade is the only reason James went to South Beach.

When you look around the league, teams like the Lakers, Knicks, Chicago Bulls or even the Cleveland Cavaliers, are just one player away from becoming a dynasty. The Cavs have some great young talent, while the Bulls never seem to remain healthy enough to compete deep into the playoffs. Add a player of James' caliber, who makes everybody around him better and any of these teams could make a run to the championship.

James' legacy will once again be on the line this summer. Will be go? Will he stay? He's already winning championships in Miami, so why would he leave? Would Wade's declining health truly push the world's best basketball player out of Miami?

So many questions and we have to wait a year to receive an answer.
