Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki are a power couple in the sports world and after some reports came out that the two broke off their relationship and decided to breakup, the golfer and the tennis star were quick to deny things on social media.
According to USA Today Sports, sources in an Irish newspaper said that McIlroy and Wozniacki had decided to end their relationship after two years, but that they wanted to keep things under wraps while McIlroy was at the Barclays at Liberty National. McIlroy has been criticized at times this year after losing his number one ranking that he wasn't playing as well since dating Wozniacki and that perhaps he should change his focus.
McIlroy and Wozniacki both expressed their annoyances on Twitter after writing that they were still together and the golfer said that he would love to know who the source actually is. The two have been together quite some time and each have gone to each other's tournaments and competitions over the years.
McIlroy finished in 19th over last weekend at the tournament and now the rumors have come up again while Wozniacki is preparing for the US Open. The source said that the two were done and that the tennis star was emotional and distraught about the breakup. McIlroy said to reporters that just because a Twitter picture changes does not mean the couple is breaking up and the two have denied the reports.
