Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Lakers No Longer Have Interest In Lamar Odom Due To Recent Problems Off Court

Throughout the season and off-season there have been rumblings that two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom was rumored to be seriously considering a return to the Los Angeles Lakers, especially with the team appearing to be interested.

However, Odom was unwilling to leave Los Angeles with only two teams to choose from.

Odom appeared to be moving toward a reunion with the Lakers, but now with all his outside issues the team has decided to move on.

TMZ reported Odom was missing and had a serious drug addiction to crack cocaine. The gossip site first broke the story about the alleged drug addiction, saying that Odom has been addicted for the last two years. His addiction is also reportedly the principle reason to being the cause of the crisis in his marriage to Khloe Kardashian.

Odom supposedly went to a rehab facility a year ago and stayed there for three weeks before leaving.

It remains unclear how Lamar's problem will affect his basketball career.

After a disappointing season with the Dallas Mavericks and a mediocre season with the Los Angeles Clippers, Odom has been left to contemplate his immediate future in the NBA as a free agent.

The Clippers appeared to be ready to sign Odom to the veteran's minimum while keeping former Laker Antawn Jamison in limbo.
