Spurs beat the Georgian side 5-0 last Thursday and with a derby against Arsenal on Sunday, boss Andre Villas-Boas may choose to rest some players.

Aaron Lennon missed training on Wednesday because of a foot injury.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) and Emmanuel Adebayor are unlikely to be involved with their club futures in doubt.

Portuguese coach Villas-Boas, who won this competition while in charge of Porto in 2011, said that despite Bale's impending move, he was content with his squad's response.

"We have a very, very strong team. If this transfer happens, it will give [players] the opportunity to step up their game, step up the responsibility and I think we have seen that in the last couple of games," he said.

"There hasn't been any disruption. We've been working well and the team is training very, very well."

Andros Townsend, who scored one goal and set up two others in the first leg, is one player who has the grasped the chance of a first-team place. The Spurs academy graduate has also earned a place in the senior England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers after an impressive start to the season.

Tottenham's record signing Roberto Soldado has scored four goals in three games since he signed from Valencia in the summer for £26m.
