The Aaron Hernandez murder case is moving along and with an arraignment date set for next week in superior court for his arraignment, the death of Odin Lloyd and the murder trial should come in 2014 and could be in the first half of the year.

According to SI.com, there also could be civil trials in the case and Hernandez is also dealing with other issues related to other cases that he will need to take care of, including with acquaintance Alexander Bradley as well as a possible connection to a double murder in Boston last year in which the gun was located and he is possibly connected to.

According to SI.com, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports that Hernandez's arraignment date for next week is not set on Friday at 2 PM ET in Fall River Superior Court and this comes after the official indictment was brought down on the former Patriots tight end last week. Hernandez is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of Lloyd and he faces life in prison for the charges along with five gun charges, which likely means he will end up in jail even without the murder conviction.

Hernandez was arrested the week after the body of Lloyd was found near his home in an industrial park and lawyers have argued that he killed him over a dispute at a nightclub. Two other men, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, have been arrested in connection with the crime and Ortiz tells police that Wallace told him that Hernandez admitted to the murder. Hernandez is being held in the Bristol County House of Correction and will appear again in court on Friday.

The 27-year-old Lloyd is connected to Hernandez through his girlfriend, as she was the sister of Hernandez's fiancé. The two met through the fiancé and were considered friends and some reports have speculated that drugs were involved in the murder, as well as that Lloyd may have had information about ties to a possible double murder in Boston last year.

Hernandez has pled not guilty and expressed his innocence in a jail letter and the police are still looking at if he is connected to that drive by double murder. Hernandez has been in jail without bail since being arrested and the Patriots released him the day he was arrested and now they have to deal with his contract and those issues, including the NFLPA filing a grievance against the team for recoup money.
