San Diego Chargers Season Schedule 2013: Opens MNF vs. Texans, Cowboys, Raiders Before Bye Week

The San Diego Chargers are heading into the 2013 NFL regular season hoping to turn things around after some rough years under Norv Turner and the team will finish the preseason against the 49ers before getting the regular season started.

The team will play the Houston Texans on Monday night football to start the season and the will travel to Philly and Tennessee to play the Eagles and the Titans. The team will next host Dallas before playing against the Raiders on the road and then they will play on Monday night again with the Colts coming to town. The Jags will host San Diego before their bye week and then the team will travel to play the Redskins.

Following that, the division rival Broncos come from Denver before the team travels to Miami and Kansas City to play the Dolphins and Chiefs. The team hosts the Bengals and giants next before heading to Denver and then they will play Oakland and the Chiefs to finish the season.

The Chargers ranked 24th in passing yards per game and Rivers will need to improve those numbers, while the health of the running backs will dictate whether the team can add to its 27th ranked rushing attack which gained just 91 yards per game. The team gave up the 18th most passing yards per game and ranked sixth in the league in rushing yards allowed. The Broncos will still be the favorites in the division after getting the number one seed last year and after going 7-9 the Chargers are hoping for quick improvements.
