Chris Bosh to Play in Game 3 for Heat Against Knicks, Despite Birth of Child

For a moment, it looked like the Knicks finally got a break in this year's playoffs. After losing guard Iman Shumpert for the season with a torn ACL and possibly Amare Stoudemire for the remainder of the series, it looked like Miami may be without one of their stars.

Heat forward Chris Bosh flew to Florida early Thursday morning to be with his wife, who was set to give birth to their first child together. It was thought that Bosh might not be able to get back to New York in time for the start of Game 3.

Now, it seems, Miami fans have nothing to worry about. According to David Aldridge of TNT, Bosh is expected to suit up for the Heat Thursday night.

"Told Chris Bosh will be back in NYC in time for Game 3 tonight," tweeted Aldridge. "Bosh's wife, Adrienne, gave birth to the couple's child this am in Miami."

Miami has dominated the series thus far, outscoring the Knicks 204-161 in the first two games of the series. Bosh was instrumental in the Heat winning Game 2, scoring 21 points on six of eight shooting.

The Knicks and Heat square off at Madison Square Garden at 7 p.m. ET Thursday night.
