The Washington Redskins are heading into a very important season for the franchise and the team is already 3-0 this preseason as they look to go undefeated one season after making the playoffs as NFC East champs with a Week 17 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys and now they will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 4 of the preseason.
RG3, like he has all preseason, will not be playing, but there is planet to watch for on the field, as the team has a number of decisions to make when it comes to players and personnel for the final cut down day on Saturday that must get down to 53-players. The team already ditched Donte Stallworth and more names will comes after Thursday's game. The Redskins have a capable backup in Kirk Cousins and one day soon he will be starting for a team, but as long as RG3 is around, it won't be Washington.

The Redskins are coming into the season with a high potential for success and the division should be tough with the Giants, cowboys and Eagles all improving from last year. The Redskins came into the season ranked 20th in passing yards per game and first in rushing with nearly 170 and the passing defense will need to improve greatly this year after being 30th last season. The team was fifth best in the league in rushing yards per game and opened the preseason with three wins over the titans, Steelers and the Bills and now they face the Bucs going for 4-0.
The team continues with the first Monday night game in Week 1 against the Eagles and then travels to Green Bay to play the Packers and then home for the Lions before playing the Oakland Raiders on the road before their bye week in Week 5 and then the team will travel to Dallas. The team plays Chicago next and then the Broncos and Chargers and later in the season they will play the 49ers on Monday night football.
