Kentucky Oaks 2012: Horses, Odds, Start Time And Where To Watch

The 138th running of the Kentucky Oaks has arrived and Grace Hall, winner of the March 31 Gulfstream Park Oaks, will break from post 2 as the 5-2 morning line favorite. The race will take place at 5:45 p.m. ET at Churchill Downs, Ky. on NBC Sports Network.

Grace Hall has never finished worse than second in her six starts, with additional victories in the Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga and the Blue Hen Stakes at Delaware Park at 2. The three-year-old filly will try to stretch that streak to seven by beating out 14 other three-year-old fillies in the nine-furlong (1 and 1/8 miles) race. The winner will win $600,000 out of the $1 million purse as well as the customary large garland of lilies appropriately called the "Lillies for the Fillies."

Anita Cauley's homebred filly On Fire Baby, winner of the Honeybee Stakes in her last start and the 4-1 co-second choice with Broadway's Alibi, will break from the rail of the May 4 race.

Oaks Lilly did not draw into the main body of the field and will serve as an alternate.
