Jordan Cameron and Zach Sudfeld Top Fantasy Football TE Steals As Coby Fleener and Rob Gronkowski Busts For 2013

For fantasy football owners, finding depth at certain positions can be a tough task and sometimes there are some spots where it is easier than others and in 2013 it appears to be the tight end position, as names like Julius Thomas, Zach Sudfeld, Brandon Myers, Jared Cook, Tyler Eifert, Jordan Cameron and Martellus Bennett.

The tight end position is deep after names like Jason Witten, Rob Gronkowski, Tony Gonzalez and Jimmy Graham and if fantasy owners miss out on those top names as well as second tiers like Greg Olsen, Brent Celek, Fred Davis and Kyle Rudolph, one player they should target is Jordan Cameron from the Cleveland Browns. Cameron has the size and the speed to be a very productive tight end this season and he will be in the starting role after the Browns let Benjamin Watson go in free agency and they did not sign anyone to truly take over apart from Kellen Davis and he is not much of a pass catcher.

Cameron isn't being drafted too high in most leagues and after the Browns switched coaches to Rob Chudzinski, he could be primed for a huge season. Chud brought in Norv Turner to run the offense and that bodes very well for Cameron, as Turner once coached the best fantasy tight end in football in Antonio Gates. Even more so, Cameron has been compared to Gates since he has a basketball background and he could end up being a top 10 scorer by the end of the year. While he only has 26 catches to his name, Cameron could be a huge sleeper for 2013.

Jared Cook was a big tight end name in free agency and it was one of the more underrated moves the Rams made to improve their offense and St. Louis made a number of those in the offseason. Jeff Fisher drafted Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey; picked Daryl Richardson as the starting running back and gave Sam Bradford the time to develop in the offense with wide receiver Chris Givens. All that should help Cook get plenty of open looks from the tight end spot and he was sorely underused in Tennessee, playing in a running offense with mediocre quarterbacks. According to ESPN.com, Cook's highest total of targets in his career is 82 and for a comparison, the Rams targeted their "no-name" tight ends 85 times and that could mean much more production from Cook.

Zach Sudfeld is a very popular sleeper pick in leagues after Rob Gronkowski was sidelined after surgery and he is a very good option in deeper leagues and PPR leagues. The Patriots have incorporated the tight end quite a bit with Gronk and Aaron Hernandez and now that both will be out of the lineup for different reasons in Week 1, it's Sudfeld as the starter after Jake Ballard and Daniel Fells were released.
